2022 Rides

For 11 years, we have cycled long rides, short rides, climbing rides and biking trails — all to raise money for delivering high quality health care in rural Ecuador. This year’s goal is to raise $400,000 for a 11-year total of $4 million.

SATELLITE COMMUNITY RIDESNEW TEAMS WELCOME!

Since 2020, Andean Health “Satellite Teams” have cycled in local communities to raise funds for AHD. Teams, ranging in size from 1- 30 members, design their own route, picked their cycling days, and head out to build mileage and funds. We post their pics and progress on our Andean Health cycling site.

We hope you can be a “Satellite Rider” in 2022! The Satellite Ride will be on or around October 2 when our cycling team will be riding the Natchez Trace. Some riders raise donations by miles cycled, some donate individually, some ride for fun and awareness of AHD. It’s up to you.

Riders who register before July 28 will receive a custom 2022 jersey! (You can still join later, but you’ll miss out on the magnificent jersey.)

IN-PERSON RIDE: NATCHEZ TRACE

The in-person ride this year will be along the NATCHEZ TRACE PARKWAY, October 2-8. If you can’t join us for the in-person ride, we will also offer the Satellite Community Rides as we’ve done in years past. Check back this summer for info on the Satellite Rides.

NATCHEZ TRACE PARKWAY: OCT. 2 – 8

Update: the 7-day trip is SOLD OUT! A few spaces remain on the 3-day trip.

Note: Space is extremely limited this year, so please register as soon as possible.

The Natchez Trace Parkway is one of North America’s hidden gems with vast stretches of twisty roads, minimal vehicle traffic, tremendous scenery over ridges and through isolated hollows, undulating terrain with no big climbing, and with myriad small friendly towns steeped in history. Because of this it is no wonder that the Natchez Trace Parkway (also known as the “Trace”) is a destination for many cyclists looking to reconnect with nature while pursuing their love of cycling. The Andean Health Cycling Team is proud to partner with Lizard Head Cycling on this amazing custom tour.
