Left Green River this morning.
64 miles yesterday again with a 10 – 15 mph headwind all day.
Headwinds all day today as well, but at least the air quality is much better.
Rest day tomorrow in Grand Junction which we are all looking forward to!.
Everyone still doing really well.
Phil and Kevin working like a Swiss watch covering everything! They are excellent and much appreciated.
Finally – a SPECTACULAR day!!
Left at 8 am. Air best yet. Could actually see mountains in the distance. Cool, crisp, wearing our outer shells. Quickly out of town and immediately into a 1000′ climb. LIGHT TO NO wind!!
Scenery stunning all morning and could actually see it!
Rollers all morning with a few good climbs followed by fast descents on a good quality ready with very little traffic.
Flaming gorge reservoir down to our left as we sped along with mountains off in the distance. Bright sunny day.
And then into Utah where things changed almost immediately. Lots of green fields and the ridges up to our right rose colored rather than all white.
A few good climbs with one final outrageous descent, a short final climb, and then lunch sitting alongside the trailer in our right canvas chairs that we bought in Bozeman over looking the sheer ride walls and far off in the distance the deep blue water of the gorge.
Now on our way to Grand Junction with a rest day tomorrow. We pick up Rachel English’s and John Rudolf’s bikes tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing them both in a few days.
Team still doing really well. Everyone riding well
Lots of great pics from the last few days which we will send tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone who is following our adventure and especially to all of the satellite community riders!!
